When we decided to go cruising for an undetermined amount of time I knew that we'd need to divest ourselves (my terminology) of the things of land. We had, over the course of many months, created, thrown away and created again many lists of things we could do without and the order in which we'd let them go. Strangely, this car managed to hold on until the very end. I am certainly not a materialistic person, and Heather even less so, however, this car is one of the niftiest, prettiest, nicest "things" we've ever owned. So, it is with much sadness and emotion that we place her on the "block" for sale.

She is a 1999 Porsche 911 Carrera. She's a wonderful, brilliant metallic silver with a nicely contrasting deep, navy blue leather interior. She has been driven, and lovingly, less than ten thousand miles. She has very intricately patterned wheels and low profile tires. She is amazingly comfortable to drive for long distances, something that makes me wish now that I had taken more long trips in her. She has power windows, sunroof, locks and seats. She has a six speed manual transmission that's a phenominal joy to shift through, and quickly too. She likes to be driven fast and needs a good run every now and again to keep her six cylinder (one for each gear, you know) 295 horsepower naturally aspirated engine happy.

She is under full warranty and is all original. She is an excellent every-day driving car, but probably a better weekend treat - especially if the weekend entails driving out into the country away from the things of man. The sound of her engine is extraordinarily unique and I find myself leaving the driver's door open as I start her in the morning just so I can listen to that powerful growl as she wakes from a night's rest. I will certainly miss her.
