Good Omens arrives today. She has been in Tiverton, Rhode Island at Quality Yacht Services for the past four months undergoing an extensive mechanical refit. Mark Perry and his crew have rebuilt or replaced nearly every major mechanical system on her in preparation for our departure this summer.

I saw her last in early February when I spent a week in Rhode Island doing small chores on her and getting to know her better. Now, after what seems an eternity, she is finally cruising - or driving, rather, back into our lives. There's still an incredible list of chores to complete before she's ready to set sail, and I'm sure there will be much to write about during this time of frenetic fixing and fitting.

Right now, however, I'm going to drive down to the boat yard and watch our home cruise in on an eighteen wheeler.
