Last Soccer Day Redux

The children are quoting lines from "The Birdcage" while donning their soccer uniforms. Perhaps I'm stuck in the middle of a modernized "Faust". Whatever the cause or ultimate reason, it's another Saturday morning trek to the soccer field. Eight o'clock and my feet are sliding through damp grass and mud. They were expecting a nice morning of snuggling under a wool blanket until at least noon - the official hour of morning's end. Chaos reigns. Soccer day is here again.
