Mucus is your friend
December 27, 2000

It's true. Yesterday did not happen. As you know, we were originally concerned about a possible glitch, or bug in the technical lingo, in our mainframe database. However, a lengthy examination into the matter followed by a lengthy debate have left us feeling quite certain that the day did not occur.

Oddly enough, some of you may have memories of experiences you believe you endured on the non-yesterday. In fact, some of you may believe you remember coming to this web site and finding it missing a front page article. You may remember being incredibly disheartened, and, in fact, put out that the normally quippy front-page article was not in its usual place. You may even remember turning to your loving partner and muttering some choice words about the disturbing heartlessness of today's web masters.

I assure you all, however, these memories are false. Most likely brought on by a combination of expired egg nog and overly juiced rum balls. Yesterday, in fact, did not exist.

The computer says it is thus. How can the computer be wrong?
